In August 2023, the government of the Republic of Armenia initiated a trial program to label laptops and mobile phones, referred to as the e-Mark. This program encompasses specific EAEU HS codes as below:
8471300000: Smartphones
8517110000: Phones with wireless microphones for wired communication
8517130000: Portable computing machines weighing no more than 10 kg, comprising at least a central processor, keyboard, and display
8517140000: Other mobile communication or wireless network phone equipment
8517180000: Other telephone apparatus
The original plan was to make e-Mark labeling mandatory on November 1, 2023. However, the program experienced delays, first shifting to December 1, 2023, and recently being postponed to the current date of April 1, 2024.
